Cockatiels are gentle, affectionate, and social birds — perfect first-time bird owners. They're known for their whistling ability and can learn tunes. Males tend to be more vocal. They love head scratches and will often bow their heads for petting. They're relatively quiet compared to other parrots, making them apartment-friendly.

High-quality cockatiel pellets (60%), fresh vegetables (dark leafy greens, carrots, sweet potato), and limited seeds. Avoid avocado, onion, garlic, and chocolate. Provide cuttlebone for calcium.
