Birds we've worked with, in their owners' own words.
Every bird that comes through our doors has a story. Some arrive biting, screaming, refusing to eat anything but seeds. Others come after being rehomed twice, distrustful of hands and cages. We don't promise miracles - but we promise consistency, patience, and a written report at the end of every stay.
Came in after two failed rehomings. Would lunge at anyone who came near the cage and barely touched fresh food. After 6 weeks with us: steps up on her own, eats a varied diet, lets us handle her feet and wings without flaring. Still cautious around new people - that's her personality, not a problem to fix.
Owner was at breaking point. Seed-only diet, screaming from sunrise to sunset, biting any hand that came near. We moved him onto pellets gradually over 3 weeks, set up foraging stations in his cage, and worked on stationing. Result: down to one short contact call in the morning instead of hours of noise.
Pet-store purchase, no prior handling. Hissing, lunging, full territorial display in cage. Boarded with us for 2 weeks while owner travelled. By the end he was taking treats from our hands inside his cage and stepping up to a perch outside. Owner came back to a different bird.
